They ALL looked great. We got Dreams Tulum, which I've wanted to visit for a while. It was a GREAT value and worth a lot more than we paid with the super deal! Beautiful architecture, gracious workers, wonderful grounds, lots of romantic quiet spots, and the best food of any All Inclusive I've been to in 13 years of travelling!! The arrangements made turned out well and at the Residence Inn at Charlestown we were in a central location to Bunker Hill, Prudential Center, downtown, and the Freedom Trail. We had a great time at the Royal Solaris. It is a large resort for Cancun. It's a "happening" place due to the large number of young people there. We enjoyed that, because it made it so much more fun. My daughter met several other senior trippers there.
It is the first resort we've ever been to that did not require reservations for the A la carte restaurants, which was nice. There also was no limit on how often you could dine in those restaurants.....also nice. The food was all really good. No complaints. We had prime rib for dinner our last night. The snack bar by the pool was probably the best we've ever seen. Great food! And they were open late at night as well. I would recommend this hotel as a fun, but accommodating place to stay.
Two things I would change would be:
1) Need a fridge in every room (kinda got used to that since Iberostar in Punta Cana & Grand Palladium in Akumal)
2) Definitely need more places in the room to hang wet clothing. I suggested this on the check out forms as well. | Tracy 5/25/2007 We just returned from 4 WONDERFUL days at the Iberostar Grand in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. This adult only resort was very peaceful and relaxing. The food quality and presentation was exceptional. The Iberostar staff provided excellent service.
