This is a comprehensive, affordable tour of Italy, showcasing some of the world's most beloved cities (including Rome, Florence, Venice, and Naples), historic sites, small towns, and scenic wonders. You'll start and end in Rome focusing on Tuscany and the Naples area, but also visiting Venice, San Marino (one of the world's smallest countries), and Assisi.

Enjoy four nights in the Tuscan hills, famous for medieval villages, charming towns, and the celebrated Chianti wine-growing region. From your base, take excursions to Greve, where you'll visit a renowned Chianti wine estate and indulge in a typical Tuscan lunch; visit Pisa, with its world-famous Leaning Tower; and stroll in Florence on your walking tour of the Renaissance city center. You'll see Piazza Signoria - the center of political life in Florence since the 14th century.

Spend three nights in Naples and take excursions to Capri, with is crystal-blue water, legendary piazzetta, and fashionable boutiques; visit Sorrento, a laid-back town with amazing views of the azure seas and cobblestone streets lined with shops and restaurants; and explore Pompeii, which was completely buried during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. This preserved town gives you an amazingly detailed look into ordinary life at the peak of the Roman Empire.

Day 2Tuscan HillsJourney to Orvieto in the Umbria region to visit its black basalt and yellow limestone CATHEDRAL. Next, enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan countryside with its hillside towns and villages that skirt the Chianti wine-growing region. Overnight in the heart of Tuscany. Tonight, join the optional Tuscan dinner. (B)
Day 3Tuscan HillsSpend the day at leisure or take advantage of today's optional excursion to San Gimignano and Siena. San Gimignano is one of Italy's best-preserved medieval towns. Admire its 14 towers and the countryside dotted with vineyards and olive trees. Siena is rightly considered the jewel of Tuscany. The Piazza del Campo is quite unique in shape and setting, and famous all over the world for the medieval-style Palio horse-racing event. (B,D)
Day 4Tuscan HillsA full day is dedicated to the 'Cradle of the Renaissance.' Wander at leisure and admire the city's timeless beauty. The included walking tour with a Local Guide will introduce you to the main highlights. (B,D)
Day 5Tuscan HillsThis morning, head to the village of Greve. Visit the VICCHIOMAGGIO WINE ESTATE, where the renowned Chianti wine is made, and indulge in an included TUSCAN LUNCH before heading to Pisa to see its world-famous SQUARE OF MIRACLES and the curious Leaning Tower. Day 6VeniceDrive north, first through more of Tuscany, then across the Po River to Verona on the banks of the Adige River. Get to know more about this enchanting city on your included guided city tour that shows off all the highlights, including the famous balcony from Romeo and Juliet. Continue to the Venice area. (B)
Day 7VeniceVenice is a city of unparalleled beauty and a feast of wonderful sites. View the delightful criss-crossing canals, the gondolas, water buses, arched bridges, palaces, and piazzas. Enjoy the included orientation, which starts with a BOAT RIDE to St. Mark's Square and is followed by time at leisure and a visit to a typical Venetian GLASSBLOWING WORKSHOP. Day 8San MarinoTravel to Ravenna, a city that preserves the richest heritage of byzantine mosaics dating from the 5th century AD. After a stop here, continue to the tiny hilltop Republic of San Marino, one of the smallest countries in the world. (B,D)
Day 9AssisiFirst to Urbino to see its magnificent Ducal Palace towering over the town. Then, on to the verdant Umbria region to visit medieval Gubbio, where a superb view of the rooftops of the town from the Consul's Palace is a must. Continue on to Foligno. (B,D)
Day 10NaplesStart the day in Assisi with a guided tour of the BASILICA OF ST. FRANCIS with its famous paintings by Giotto dating back to the 1300s. Carry on south across the Apennines to the shores of the Mediterranean for three overnights in Naples, rightly known as Italy's most colorful city. (B)
Day 11NaplesToday, cross the crystal-blue waters to Capri. This legendary island, surrounded by rose-tinted rocks, has incredibly beautiful coves of translucent blues and greens. The town, with its pretty piazzetta, maze of streets, fashionable boutiques, and cozy restaurants, is a mecca for the jet set. An optional tour takes you around the island with its steep roads and panoramic views. Return to Naples for an overnight. (B,D)
Day 12NaplesThis morning, get to know more about lively, bustling Naples on the included orientation drive. Next, POMPEII, where time stopped for the rich, aristocratic town with the terrible eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. A Local Guide will bring that day back to life. Continue to Sorrento for a leisurely evening of superb views over the Gulf of Naples. Maybe join an optional dinner in a local restaurant before returning to Naples. (B)
Day 13RomeNorth this morning through the province of Latium for a stop to visit Montecassino's BENEDICTINE ABBEY. Return to Rome, the 'Eternal City,' with plenty of time to enjoy one of the optional excursions, to do last-minute shopping, or maybe to sip a drink on Piazza Navona and watch the world go by. (B)
Day 14RomeSteeped in history, Rome is vibrantly alive and exciting, and absolutely unique. Included sightseeing with a Local Guide starts with St. Peter's Square and Basilica. Other highlights are the iconic Colosseum, the largest amphitheater ever built; the Roman Forum; Piazza Venezia, and Campidoglio. An optional visit is available to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, world famous for Michelangelo's impressive fresco of The Last Judgment. (B)

    For air departure dates within 331 days, you'll be offered a choice of carriers and flight schedules as well as price points to choose from when selecting your flights. Your schedule will be provided to you at the time of booking (schedules are subject to change by carriers). Globus offers 2 air options: Flex Air and Instant Purchase Air. Flex Air allows flexibility if you want to make changes to your vacation schedule. Instant Purchase Air may offer additional airline options but has more restrictions. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. Guaranteed air-inclusive prices: air is only available to passengers traveling from the United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land vacation. An additional $300 per person non-refundable air deposit is required for Flex Air booked in conjunction with any land vacation (i.e. air-inclusive vacation). Air can only be booked by Globus in conjunction with a vacation package. Instant Purchase Air requires air payment in full at time of booking (i.e. air-inclusive vacation) plus non-refundable per person service fee ($30 for North/Central America, $50 for Europe/Middle East and $80 for all other destinations. Once booked, Instant Purchase Air is non-refundable, and non-changeable. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option.
