Drive through the Matanuska Susitna Valley, where world record monster size vegetables grow in the 24 hour daylight and stop by Worthington Glacier for a look at this gigantic piece of ice. Arrive into Valdez in the early evening

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner | | Day 3 | Glacier and Wildlife Cruise on Prince William Sound | Spend this morning at leisure, exploring Valdez with an included entrance to the Valdez Museum. Later, board a glacier and wildlife cruise and travel through the majestic Prince William Sound. Explore the three mile face of the mighty Columbia Glacier and hear tales of the region as told by the Alaskan crew. Keep your eyes open for seals, sea lions, otters, whales, and puffins throughout this half day exploration cruise

The second largest city in Alaska, Fairbanks was founded in 1901 and has a population of 35,000

Meals: Breakfast | | Day 5 | Fairbanks Museum, Sternwheeler cruise | This morning, learn how the gold rush affected Alaska's interior with a tour of Fairbanks that includes a visit to the Fairbanks Museum. Following free time for lunch, cruise the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler. Travel back to the time when traditional riverboats plied the waterways of Alaska's interior during the late 1800's. The six million acre park is home to Mount McKinley, North America's tallest mountain, as well as 39 species of mammals. Search the pristine wilderness for large wildlife including Grizzly (Brown) Bears, Caribou and Dall sheep. Perhaps the most impressive mammal in the park is the Alaskan Moose, which is the largest in the world and can weigh up to 1,600 pounds

Meals: Breakfast | | Day 8 | Alaska Railroad | Morning at leisure. This afternoon, board the world famous Alaska Railroad for the eight hour journey south. View the beautiful vistas along the scenic Susitna River on your way to Anchorage. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel

Meals: Breakfast | | Day 9 | Alaska Native Heritage Center visit | This morning, enjoy a brief tour of Anchorage, followed by a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
